On Saturday 4th December 2021 the Darach Whisky team attended the Winter Wonderland Ball. A charity fundraising event in honour of the Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation at the Radisson Blue in Glasgow. The event was hosted by the JR Group to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their scaffolding company. We would like to extend our special thanks to hosts John and Annemarie Horn, for allowing us to join this wonderful event.
The evening was a huge success in both execution and in fundraising managing to raise over a whopping £110,000!
The evening kicked off with a Champaign reception, which also gave us the chance to mingle and show off our custom made Darach Whisky face masks. Special thanks to Amethyst Designs for creating these! These went perfectly with our black-tie attire and proved to be a great conversation starter.
After the reception, guests were also thrilled to find their free complementary Darach Whisky Gift sets at the table. These giftsets included a 5cl miniature of our up and coming 13 year old Secret Speyside , and an engraved Darach Whisky Glencairn glass.
It was an honour and a privilege for us to donate these Giftsets to the Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation. We were overwhelmed to see everyone at the ball acknowledging and enjoying our newest edition. It was also very special evening for us to be granted the opportunity for our product to be a focal part of such an event.
Entertainment Filled Night
The night was filled with entertainment, including the talented students of the Theatre School Of Scotland performing fantastic Motown covers. A raffle to win a Rolex watch, diamond necklace and a pair of diamond earrings. An auction of specialised gifts (one of which was ticket to an Adele Concert!) and finally music entertainment by the talented Ernest band, followed by a DJ set from Cassi (Clyde One Radio)
On the run up to the event there was a silent auction taking place behind the scenes. Furthermore, an auctioned bottle of 24 year Allt-A-Bhainne was sold for an impressive £425!
