ALLT-A-BHAINNE (24-YEAR) OLD SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

This Allt-A-Bhainne 24-year Single malt release from Darach whisky was distilled in the region of Speyside. This superb whisky has the unmistakable fruity nose of a Speyside single malt, followed by a sweet coating in the mouth and a spicy finish. This malt is a true reflection of the whisky region of Speyside and what it has to offer.

Distillery: The Allt-A-Bhainne distillery is in Glenrinnes, Keith in the Speyside region of Scotland. Owned by Pernod Ricard this distillery is known for uniquely being a slightly peated single malt Scotch, a tasting note more commonly associated with the Islay region of Scotland. Despite the unmistakable hints of peat throughout this malt, its predominant flavour is that of sweetness. Fruit, vanilla, and buttermilk.

Tasting Notes

Nose

A gentle smoky essence is most noticeable on your first smell, followed then by the sweet scent of freshly cut green apples, pears and traces of vanilla and buttermilk.

Palate

A smooth, easy to drink whisky with a sweet note. With a slight trace of peat on the tongue this whisky is a gentle tease of what a peated whisky can be.
